🍎🍇🍂 What an amazing first week back it has been for our St Joseph’s family! 🌟

The school is already buzzing with laughter, learning and happy faces.

Our Nursery children have been busy exploring our beautiful gardens—picking apples, plums, blackberries and tomatoes. Their harvest was then turned into the most delicious homemade fruit crumble! 🥧✨

It’s moments like these—working together, enjoying nature, and creating memories—that remind us what makes St Joseph’s so special.

Here’s to another year full of growth, joy and togetherness. ❤️🤍💛

Personal Development at St Joseph’s

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to provide a rich personal development curriculum that nurtures confident, responsible, and aspirational young people. This term, pupils have been reflecting on their futures by exploring the careers they might like to pursue when they grow up.

As part of this work, children have been thinking carefully about the skills and qualities they will need to achieve their dreams – from teamwork and resilience to communication and creativity. It has been wonderful to see how inspired and ambitious our pupils are, and how clearly they can articulate their goals and aspirations.

This is just one example of how we support our children’s personal growth and prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the wider world.

🌟 Enriching Our Curriculum at St Joseph’s! 🌟

At St Joseph’s, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom! 🏫✨ Enriching our ambitious curriculum with exciting trips and experiences is a top priority, and we recently had an amazing adventure at Westwood Farm! 🌾🐑

A huge thank you to Mrs Parsons for having us and to Miss Taylor, Mrs Angrave & Miss 🍋 for taking our Year 1 and 2 pupils on this fantastic outing. The smiles, laughter, and learning moments were truly priceless! 😄💖

We’re grateful for such wonderful opportunities that allow our children to explore and engage with our local community. 🌍💚

Stay tuned for more adventures to come!

🌲 Exciting Times at Our Forest School! 🥞🔥

We are so lucky to have our very own forest school nestled within our stunning grounds, with not one, but two amazing forest school teachers leading the way! This week, our nursery children had an unforgettable experience as they made delicious pancakes over a roaring fire.

It was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn about nature, teamwork, and the joy of cooking outdoors. The smiles on their faces say it all! 🌟

Spreading Kindness in Matlock 🌼❤️

What a beautiful day it was for our school community! Our wonderful Year 6 children took to the streets of Matlock, armed with delightful flower bouquets they created themselves from the generous donations of flowers from our amazing school community. 🌻✨

In honour of the kindness and loyalty of Mary, we embarked on a mission of ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ to spread cheer and brighten someone’s day. The smiles we encountered were absolutely priceless! 😊

But it didn’t stop there! The rest of the school joined in the spirit of giving, writing heartfelt notes for our staff and delivering flowers to the lovely residents of the local care home. It was heartwarming to see the joy our acts brought to others.

A massive thank you to everyone involved, and a special shoutout to our fantastic Mrs Webster for organising such a memorable occasion. Together, we’ve shown that love and kindness truly make the world a better place! 💛🤍❤️

Inspiring minds at St Joseph’s 🌟

Our St Joseph’s family were absolutely inspired by the incredible Fiona, who shared her remarkable journey with us! From her early days as a children’s holiday rep to her current role as Mini Police Coordinator, Fiona’s story truly captivated us all.

Her passion for nurturing young minds and promoting community spirit is nothing short of fascinating. It’s so important for our students to see the diverse paths available to them and how they can make a positive impact in their communities! 🚀

Thank you, Fiona, for sparking such inspiration and encouraging our students to dream big! 💭✨
