🌟 We had an absolute blast hosting our special Dads & Male relatives/carers day event at our school! 🎉 From den building to exciting construction challenges and embarking on a thrilling map quest, it was a day jam-packed with fun activities! 🛠️🗺️

We came together to celebrate our feast day and pay tribute to St Joseph the worker. It was a truly heartwarming experience seeing our students bond and create lasting memories with their male relatives and carers. 💙

Textiles Project in Year 3/4! 🧶🎨

📣🎉 Our incredible Year 3/4 students have been diving headfirst into the captivating world of textiles and Miss Taylor couldn’t be more proud! 🌈✂️

👩‍🎨 In their Design Technology lessons, our young innovators have discovered the art of creating their very own weaving looms. It’s been an absolute joy to witness their creativity blossom and their imagination soar as they explore the wonderful world of fabric and patterns. 🎉👏

🌟 From selecting vibrant yarns to intricate weaving techniques, our students are truly pushing the boundaries of their artistic abilities. They’ve been crafting stunning tapestries, beautifully woven with a spectrum of colors that would make any rainbow envious! 🌈💫

Year 5 and 6 Detectives🔎: An Exciting Criminal Investigation Session! 🚓🔬

😄👮‍♂️ Our Year 5 and 6 students had an incredible time during their recent Derbyshire Constabulary Mini Police session on Criminal Investigation. 🎉🔦

👥 Our young investigators had the opportunity to step into the shoes of real police officers👮‍♀️, learning about the thrilling world of crime-solving and putting their problem-solving skills to the test. 💡🔍

🔎 From examining clues at the crime scene 🚔 to deciphering codes 🔢 and dusting for fingerprints 🖐️, our young officers were fully immersed in the investigative process! 💡💪

As well as being incredibly fun, this hands-on session also provided an invaluable opportunity for our students to develop crucial skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and perseverance. 🧠🤝💪

🚲🚲🚲What an amazing day the Year 2s have had! 🚲🚲🚲

All children have tried their hardest to ride their bikes and ALMOST EVERYONE can ride! The instructors were so impressed with the amount of children that could already ride. The children that were non-riders have made so much progress and I am sure that there will be bikes/helmets on birthday and Christmas lists now! 😆

Thank you to those that brought in bikes and helmets, especially those who brought in extra bikes for others to borrow – it is very appreciated.

They have all been given ‘bikeability homework’ which is to continue to practise riding. They have recommended that stabilisers should not go back on bikes as it will put their progress back.

Saint Joseph’s at Winter Wonderland!

🎄✨ Wow, what a magical adventure Saint Joseph’s have had at Winter Wonderland! 🎅❄️

We enjoyed breakfast together in school first thing. We managed to rescue the bus from the mischievous Christmas Elf and made it just in time to soak up the festive atmosphere. We had a ball playing in the snow, enjoying a spectacular show, and exploring the enchanting Christmas Village! ✨⛄

This is an experience we’ll never forget!

Celebrating Birthdays in EYFS! 🎂✨

🌟 In our Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery & Reception), we love celebrating birthdays in a special way! 🎉🎈 Our fun tradition is creating a number birthday cake to mark each child’s special day! 🎂🎁

🧁🎨 Our little ones get creative and have a blast decorating the cake with colourful icing, sprinkles, and of course, lots of love! 💖 It’s a fantastic way to make each birthday unique and memorable for our children!
