🌟 Exciting New Beginnings at St Joseph’s! 🌟

It’s been absolutely wonderful to welcome everyone back for the start of a brand new year at St Joseph’s! 🎉

Our Reception class has embarked on an exciting journey exploring their new topic: Our Amazing World. 🌍✨

Meanwhile, our Nursery children have been enchanted by the magical winter wonderland that surrounds us. ❄️ They’ve been busy having icy adventures, discovering snowy footprints, and creating delightful memories in the frosty air! ☃️❤️

To top it all off, both classes took the time to celebrate their friends’ birthdays, making it a truly special start to the term! 🎂🎈

>Here’s to a year filled with learning, laughter, and lasting friendships! 💖🌟

An Inspiring Day with Our Local MP! 🎉

This week, as part of Parliament Week, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming our local MP, John Whitby, into school for a series of engaging class workshops! 🏫✨

Our students were buzzing with excitement and came up with some truly brilliant questions that sparked lively discussions about democracy, local issues, and the importance of civic engagement. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and enthusiasm in action! 🙌💬

A huge thank you to John Whitby for his time and insights—your visit has undoubtedly ignited a passion for politics in our young minds. Together, we’re shaping future leaders! 🌟🌍❤️

We Are Amazing Writers at St Joseph’s! ✍️✨

At St Joseph’s, we believe that every child has a storyteller within them just waiting to be unleashed! 📚 From our enthusiastic Nursery children discovering the magic of words to our Year 6 students crafting their final pieces, our writing curriculum is designed to inspire creativity and confidence at every stage.

We are exceptionally proud of the journey our young authors embark on, where imagination meets structure and ideas come to life! 🌈

We cherish our students’ achievements with regular showcases of their work 📖, allowing them to take pride in their progress.
We nurture their passion for words, ensuring that they leave us as confident communicators.

A Heartfelt Remembrance Liturgy at Our School 🌹🕯️

Today, our school community came together for a touching Remembrance liturgy, reflecting on the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers in the wars. 📜✨

We listened to poignant letters written by these heroes, allowing us a glimpse into their thoughts and experiences. Each student lit a candle 🕯️ in honour of their bravery, followed by a moment of silence as we said a prayer for all those who have served.

It was a beautiful occasion that reminded us of the importance of remembrance, gratitude, and reflection. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so special. 🙏❤️

💛Our Kindness Tree & Lego House!💛

💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

After a successful Kindness Week and HelloYellow Day we have been focussing on #BuildingKindness with the support of our extraordinary Mindful Mentors Kimché, Scarlett and Megan.  🌲Our kindness tree stands proudly at the front of the school where pupils and staff were encouraged to be kind to themselves adding something they are good at or proud of!

🧱We have built a Lego house with the whole school placing a brick sharing our special poem:

Let’s build a tower, brick by brick
Of kindness tall and kindness thick.
Start with a smile – place it down low,
It’s the first step to help others glow.

Add a ‘Thank you’ and ‘Please’ just right,
These are beams that make hearts light.
Nail in some patience, smooth and strong,
It holds things steady when days feel long.

Stack on respect like a sturdy wall,
So everyone feels ten feet tall.
Then sprinkle some laughter to lift up high,
And watch it stretch up to the sky.

Each act of caring, big or small,
Helps our kindness tower stand tall,
So keep on building, day by day-
For kindness makes the world okay!

🍴 Celebrating Our Food Technology Journey! 🎉

As we wrap up our final blocked curriculum topic of the term, we couldn’t be prouder of our pupils’ journey through Food Technology! Our aim is to equip our children with invaluable skills for their future!

❤️🤍💛

From the tiniest chefs in Nursery & Reception mastering the art of pumpkin soup and bread, to the budding pizzaiolos in Year 1/2, crafting their very own pizzas, the excitement has been infectious. 🍕 Our Year 3/4 pupils delighted in preparing a delightful afternoon tea, while our talented Year 5/6 students rose to the challenge of creating an impressive three-course meal! 🍽️✨

The joy on the children’s faces as they cooked, tasted, and shared their creations has truly warmed our hearts. These experiences not only build essential culinary skills but also foster teamwork, creativity, and a love for cooking that we hope will last a lifetime.

Join us in celebrating our incredible school and the enriching curriculum that makes all of this possible!

Proud Moments at Our School: Den Making and Young Enterprise

🌳✨ We’ve been having an absolutely fantastic time with our Outdoor Play and Learning lunchtime sessions lately! Our budding entrepreneurs have been trading stones for sticks in an exciting Den Making project. It’s incredible to see our students not only engaging in creative play but also learning vital skills in entrepreneurship and teamwork. 💼🤝

The laughter, collaboration, and problem-solving that have unfolded during this initiative show just how much our children can achieve when they work together. We’re proud to nurture such innovative minds!

We are SO proud of our wonderful school!
