Thank you for visiting our school website. Whether you are applying for a place for your child in Reception or for a mid year admission, we hope that this website provides an insight into the St Joseph’s ethos and mission statement.

Deciding upon a school for your child is an incredibly important decision and I would suggest that you take the time to visit the schools you are thinking of. A school website gives you an initial impression and ideas of the school but visiting and seeing the ethos and school in action is always the best way to make your decisions.

St Joseph’s is a school which places great emphasis on educating the whole child to enable them to become rounded individuals in our increasing global community. Education is a lifelong process and children should be given the skills that will enable them to continue with the next part of their education journey as well as valuing and respecting themselves and others in our school, local and global community.

Parents are the first educators of their child and are also the main, consistent part of a child’s education so we aim to work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child can achieve their full potential. Within our mission statement, each child is a unique gift from God with talents and gifts to share with others. We aim for children to use these gifts, giving them confidence to enjoy learning and to value education through life.

Our strong links with our Parish, Our Lady’s and St Joseph’s Parish Church, allow children to learn of God’s love for us all and how special they are. We celebrate Mass with our Parish Priest, Fr Robbie, both in the Convent Chapel and in Church throughout the school year and our links with the Presentation Sisters allow the children to deepen their faith.

Our Before and After School club is a great asset to our school which provides a safe environment for children before and after school.

Please see our Admission pages for more information on applying for place at St Joseph’s and phone the School Office if you would like to visit our school.
